This weekend.

This weekend my students are at a youth retreat called fire up in Troy IL. The reason I am not there with them is because only a few of my girls signed up for the retreat so my wife is with them so that she can build relationships with them. That is what I wanted to write on tonight.

How many times do we have to do everything in our ministry and sometimes we leave people in our dust because we are to busy? My thoughts are why do we do that?I think because of our egos. Thats right pastors have egos and need to put them to the side. Sometimes they will get the best of us all.

A book that I think all pastors need to read is by C.J Maheney on Humility. It will rock you some of the thought that he has in that book.
Men I hope and pray that you will take time to check your ego at the door. Ministry is not about you or your leadership team but about God and what he wants to do in the ministry He has interested to you.
