Reach out to others with Philips heart.

I am working on my sermon for this week and as I am reading John 1:43-51 it hits me in the head that we need to reach out to others with a heart like Philip. John Calvin writes that"Philip modesty, too, is remarkable, in desiring and seeking nothing else that to have others to learn along with him, from Him who is a teacher common to all."

Why does the church always have to yell and scream DO YOU KNOW JESUS OR DIE? This kind of crap just bugs me. This gives the world, yet again, a bad taste of the church. So we have to say we are sorry, yet again, for someone else being stupid. People today want to be invited to be a part of something bigger then themselves. Philip was inviting Nathanael to be a part of something bigger then himself.

CHURCH: Stop yelling and screaming at people but instead invite them to be apart of a lifestyle where they are loved and cared for and not judged and put down.
